Shoot Out Winners Richie, Malcom & Warren

They say golfers are mad and now I believe it!! Last Sunday we had our annual Shoot Out. This was held in the pouring rain but as they say ‘the show must go on’ After much fun and hilarity and by attrition we have our winner for the first time Malcolm George! Runner up Warren Guiniven(president) and third our greenkeeper Richie Nimmo!

Our club champs were held on Sunday 11 October. We saw some great games with 3 matches finishing on the 36th and the senior ladies went all the way to the 37th!

On October 9 Feilding Ladies Golf Club challenged us for the Levitt Willis Shield. 12 players are required for the challenge. Rangatira started off on the back foot with one player down.

Feilding managed to come in with the win by 1 point! We will never know if the outcome would have been reversed had we been able to field a full team! Well done Feilding we will see you next year on your course.

McDonald Winners T Johnson & G Raka

On September 27 we had the annunal Klue and McDonald cup, parnet child, Golfer and non Golfer.

This year Kellick Harding and his son Liam won. For the past 5 years there has always been a Harding on the trophy! Well done.

The winners of the McDonald Cup. for the second year running was Tony Johnson and Glen Raka.

Marton Ladies Visit

On September 23 we had our annual visit from the Marton Ladies. This challenge has been going now for about 5 years. We visit each others clubs on alternate to play for a small trophy. This year Rangatira managed to squeeze in a win by one point to keep the trophy. A great day .

We had an extremely busy and interesting day on Sunday. We had a large group of men from Wellington on a boys weekend, a group of ladies assisted by their Pro from Wellington and Warren Jones from Reel Earth doing some photo and video shots for us. Check them out. Sorry about the number of videos not savvy enough to join them all together yet!!
